Beach Drive

BEACH DRIVE HOME REMODEL

This beach home was originally built in 1936. It's a great property, just steps from the sand, but it needed a major overhaul from the foundation to a new copper roof. Inside, we designed and created an open concept living, kitchen and dining area, perfect for hosting or lounging. The result? A home remodel that surpassed the homeowner's dreams.

Outside, adding a custom shower and quality materials like Trex decking added function and style to the exterior. And with panoramic views like these, you want to spend as much time outdoors as possible!

SEACLIFF DRIVE

This home looks out on the ocean, so it made sense to build in design details that are evocative of nature and coastal living, such as a porthole window. But what I really love is that there is so much texture, from the warm wood framing the exterior of the home, to the rock tile above the sink in the guest bathroom.

This remodel has personality, while remaining elegant and modern.

A stunning kitchen make-over in Rio Del Mar

CLUBHOUSE DRIVE

This was a top-to-bottom remodel. By opening up the kitchen walls, expanding the great room, and adding patio doors to the master bedroom, we did more than update this beach home for modern living. We also highlighted the home's best feature — breathtaking views of the ocean.

"One of the things we that really liked about working with Len and the team is that they would always listen to what we were asking to have done and help us understand how it could be done. But they would also share with us great ideas about other things that we could do. And oftentimes we definitely went the direction that they suggested."

BEACH GETAWAY

The homeowners envisioned a family vacation spot — just steps from the sand — with the ability to accommodate up to 14 guests.

We designed a whole-home remodel, transforming upstairs rooms into an open, modern kitchen kitchen and a great room for entertaining. Bunk beds and built-ins maximize the sleeping spaces. Now, three generations can enjoy the beach together!

Pajaro Dunes

PAJARO DUNES

The owners of this beachfront retreat wanted a whole-home remodel. They were looking to revitalize their three-story vacation home with an exterior inspired by Japanese woodcraft and an interior the evokes Scandinavian simplicity. Now, the open kitchen and living room offer an energetic space for the family to congregate while enjoying a 360 degree coastal views.

Built-in bunkbeds for six ensure there’s enough sleeping space for visitors, while the outdoor shower makes it easy for beachgoers to rinse off before hitting the deckside hot tub. It was a joy to help make this vision a reality!

The homeowners wanted to remodel this townhouse, which had not been updated in decades. We brought it into the 21st century by opening up the kitchen into the living room, renovating the bathroom and replacing the fixtures throughout the home.

Despite the small footprint, it feels spacious with a cool, modern vibe.

Arroyo Seco

ARROYO SECO

This home has a beautiful ocean view, and the homeowners wanted to connect the inside and outside. We achieved this by removing the entire roof and outside walls in the kitchen and living room area, replacing them with a dramatic steel and wood structure and a large roof overhang.

We love the open floor plan and the fun splashes of color throughout this remodel.

Via Concha

VIA CONCHA

We collaborated with the home owner and architect Tim Doudna on this unique Aptos beach home remodel.

We added a downstairs kitchenette for the kids and guests, and added built-in cabinets for the master suite. Luxurious details were also built, including a sauna, a wine bar, an outdoor shower, and  a private-entry patio.

Tim designed architectural features, such as frameless glass railings that allow for unobstructed views of the ocean from the living room, kitchen, and master suite.
